Open to Christians all over the world for signing: Pleading the Pope to excommunicate Carrie Lam, Begging the Lord to take back the place in Heaven reserved for her.
When Carrie Lam ran for the post of Chief Executive in Hong Kong, she said she was “called by God to run for the post”. Later, she also said that since she had done good deeds, “a place has been reserved for me in Heaven.”
However, the so-called “good deeds” Carrie Lam does are all against the will of the Lord.
For example, shortly after Carrie Lam assumed office, she put forward the plan of “Lantau Tomorrow” to build an artificial island by reclamation. The cost of this project is estimated to be as high as 1000 billion Hong Kong dollars. Lam Chiu Ying, former Head of Hong Kong Observatory, pointed out that the location of reclamation would easily be attacked by typhoon. It was not suitable to build an artificial island. Carrie Lam wants to use up all the reserve Hong Kong has accumulated throughout the years but ignores the housing problems the grassroot people face and their poverty. She also fails to give people the $4,000 the Government promises after nearly two years. All these show that she is incompetent in governing Hong Kong. She has also done harm to the people. Moreover, she directs the reserve in Hong Kong to the Mainland. This is really difficult to understand.
Carrie Lam puts forward the amendments to Fugitive Offenders Ordinance by force and causes more than 1 million people to protest. The number of people in demonstration has broken all the records since China took over the sovereignty of Hong Kong in 1997. The amendments to Fugitive Offenders Ordinance are called evil law. They can be used to extradite Hong Kong citizens or foreigners passing through Hong Kong to China for trial. This is akin to ending One Country Two Systems prematurely. After Xi Jinping had assumed his leadership in China, the Chinese government has been demolishing crosses, demolishing churches, seizing the properties of churches by force, imprisoning church leaders and priests, destroying the statues of Buddha, destroying shops selling vegetarian foods and forcing the Uyghurs to eat pork which is religious prosecution. The establishment of concentration camps for one million people in Xinjiang is a crime against human beings. The law is not observed. The law enforcers often torture people. All these are against the standard of human rights of the UN. They ignore the universal values, bringing China to the road of evil!
Obviously, Carrie Lam’s loyalty is not to Hong Kong people or the Lord, but this evil regime. Economically, Carrie Lam sends the reserve in Hong Kong to China. Culturally, she forces Hong Kong people to surrender their dignity to China (The National Flag Law and National Anthem Law, deletion of the history of the June 4th Massacre in textbooks and so on). Politically, she sends Hong Kong people to be tried in China. Can the Lord call such a person who sends Hong Kong people to the grave to be the leader of Hong Kong?
Christians in many denominations have started signing campaigns demanding that the evil law be withdrawn. Several denominations use the name of certain departments or even the name of the whole association to oppose to the amendments. Hong Kong Baptist Association even directly points out that” the amendments to Fugitive Offenders Ordinance themselves are evil.”
The will of the Lord is to let people live with dignity. When the Lord sees that people are being prosecuted or suppressed, He would seek justice through us so that people can live with equality and love, as our Lord’s Prayer says, “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” We firmly believe that the Lord would not call Carrie Lam to establish the evil law to destroy Hong Kong.
Therefore, we sign to beg the Lord to take back the place reserved for Carrie Lam in Heaven and give it to people who are righteous and abide by the will of the Lord.
We also appeal to the Pope to excommunicate Carrie Lam and drive her who betrays the Lord, treats Communist China as god and does harm to Hong Kong with evil law out of the Church.
