獨立學生上美領，香港警察出黃牌（曾焯文報導）Outside US Consulate, Pro-independence Students are Pleading with USA to Enact HK Human Rights & Democracy Act (Chapman Chen reports) (Eng. version below)
After joining the anti-120 billion USD artificial island plan rally this afternoon, about 100 pro-HK independence students and civilians marched to the US Consulate this evening.
Wayne Chan from Independence Union speaks in his own capacity: Democracy always has to be struggled for by the people. For 20 years, Hongkongers have tolerated the semi-democracy of the Legislative Council and the undemocratic election way to elect the Chief Executive. For twenty years, none of the Chief Executives of HK have struggled for democracy and freedom for Hongkongers. So much the more, using the pretext of a 12 billion USD fake artificial island project, they are now trying to deplete our treasury and submit our money to China. We have suffered exploitation by the HKSAR Govt. and Beijing enough. As the international situation has recently drastically changed and America is leading the whole world to push back against China, we plead with the US Government to enact the HK Human Rights and Democracy Act, in order to penalize HK officials who block and sabotage HK democracy!
