(Eng. sumary below)
At midnight, on July 27, HK time, US Congressional-executive Commission on China, chaired by Senator Marco Rubio, held a hearing on human rights violation in Xinjiang and listened to testimonies given by Xinjiang victims represented by US citizen Gulchehra Hoja, US scholar on Xinjiang, Rian Thum, representatives of govt. departments such as the State Department, representatives of human rights associations, etc. Senator Rubio concluded that the present Xinjiang concentration camps imprisoning one million Uyghurs may be worse than Nazi concentration camps. China has been trying to prevent America from caring about this by infiltrating US universities, media, corporates and, by intimidating US citizens who have victim-relatives in China. Nonetheless, in order to expand its global influence, Communist China still has to depend on its reputation. So Senator Rubio suggested that the United States unite with other countries in exposing China’s anti-humanity crimes and openly shaming it. More importantly, the top-level of the US Government has to be not only aware but also outraged about such transgressions, and it is supposed to rally bipartisan efforts against China.
